NHPC NEEDS ENGINEERS/JR. ENGINEERS IN ELECTRICAL DISCIPLINE ON FIXED TENURE BASIS FOR T&RE WORKS IN J&K STATE Walk-in-interviews on 25th, 26th & 27th July 2011 at Jammu

NHPC Limited, a Mini Ratna Schedule ‘A’ Enterprise of Govt. of India, is looking for Engineers and Junior Engineers in Electrical discipline “On Fixed Tenure Basis” for strengthening & augmentation of Distribution and Sub-Transmission System and Rural Electrification works in Seven Districts in the State of J&K.

Introduction about the job.

In the “Electricity to ALL” scheme of Govt. of India under Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojna, NHPC has been assigned electrification job of 31,000 villages at a cost of approximately Rs 2600 crores to be implemented on a turnkey basis in the states of J&K, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, West Bengal and Bihar. These schemes are being implemented in a time bound manner on priority basis.

NHPC urgently requires Engineers/ Jr. Engineers in Electrical Disciplineon fixed Tenure Basis for a period of one year for T&RE Works in : Jammu,Udhampur, Kathua, Srinagar, Budgam, Leh and Kargil in the State of J&K.

Essential Qualification:

Engineer

BE/B.Tech. degree/AMIE in Electrical from a recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE with minimum 55% Marks or equivalent grade.

Junior Engineer

Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized polytechnic with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.

AGE Limit:

Upper Age limit for all above posts is 30 years as on 30-06-2011.

RESERVATIONS AND RELAXATIONS:

The relaxation in age and reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Ex-serviceman/J&K Migrants will be as per the Govt. norms & directives.

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC. It is relaxable by 10 years for PH-General, 13 years for PH-OBC and 15 years for PH-SC/ST candidates.

Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

For Engineer: consolidated remuneration of Rs. 16,500/- per month.

For Junior Engineer: consolidated remuneration of Rs. 8,800/- per month.

Transport allowances and incentives shall be paid as per rules.

Candidate (s) posted at Leh & Kargil shall be paid 10% extra.

Income tax deduction at source will be as per income Tax Act.

MEDICAL FITNESS;

Appointment will be subject to candidate being found medically fit by the Company’s Medical Officer or Government Medical Officer.

. Candidates shall report for interview between 09.30 A.M. to 12.00 P.M.

. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

02. Candidates belonging to J&K shall be given preference provided they meet all the requisite qualifying criteria.
